In an effort to raise awareness and spread the “Be Street Smart” message, several educational and promotional videos have been produced, covering a variety of topics. These videos have aired on GTV6, the City’s government access channel,  USArmenia TV, and on the campaign’s social media platforms. Be on the lookout for new multilingual bicycle and pedestrian safety PSAs coming soon.

September 2017 – Safe driving habits are a must in school zones. How can you make your school drop offs and pick ups safer for everyone?

June 2016 – In preparation for the 2016/2017 school year, the City launched a new Safe Routes to School Program to educate children about safety when walking and bicycling to school.

October 2018 – Join us for Walk to School Day on October 10, 2018.

May 2017 – Students from Verdugo Woodlands Elementary participated in Bike to School Day and were joined by the Clark Magnet Bike Club.

September 2016 – Temporary signs posted citywide encourage walking.

May 2016 – Officer Armen Garabedia and Councilmember Gharpetian talk with the Armenian speaking community about pedestrian safety.
